A DotCraft Lab experiment
Piñata Party, the stress relief game for breaking piñatas
Piñata Party is a free stress relief game that runs in your browser, with no downloads and no sign-up. A crepe-paper piñata hangs in front of you: choose what to hit it with and keep going until it bursts into a shower of candy, chocolates, coins, bills and confetti. It is a short, pressure-free break: there are no points to lose, just hits that feel good.
How to play
- Tap or click the piñata to hit it.
- Press and hold to charge a stronger hit (up to double damage).
- Drag outside the piñata to rotate the camera; use the wheel or pinch to zoom.
- Chain quick hits to build a combo (up to ×2 damage).
- Once it breaks, tap the candy on the floor to make it jump.
On a computer you can also use the keyboard: 1–8 pick a weapon, Space hits, M mutes and R moves on to the next piñata.
8 weapons to let off steam
Each weapon has its own weight, sound and onomatopoeia. From the gentlest to the strongest:
- 🎈 Balloon: bouncy and barely a tickle.
- 🖐️ Slap: quick and loud.
- 🩴 Flip-flop: with a chance of a critical FLIP-FLOP SMACK!
- 🥖 Baguette: crunchy and surprisingly effective.
- 🧹 Broomstick: the party classic.
- 🍳 Frying pan: rings like a bell.
- ⚾ Bat: heavy, dry thuds.
- 🔨 Giant mallet: slow, huge and devastating.
12 different piñatas, 4 scenes
Every round brings a new piñata with its own toughness, from the fragile heart to the dragon that asks for the mallet.
- Classic Star: the seven-pointed one, as it should be.
- Little Donkey: stubborn but sweet inside.
- Unicorn: sparkles, sighs and breaks easily.
- Octopus: eight tentacles of pure gummies.
- Rocket: armored for space.
- Donut: glazed and soft.
- Cactus: prickly and tough to crack.
- Heart: fragile, handle with care… or not.
- Dragon: the final boss.
- Taco: al pastor, with a prize inside.
- Pufferfish: puffed up with air and gummies.
- Sugar Skull: made of sugar, with flowers.
The scene changes every round: a Mexican courtyard with cut-paper banners, a night fair with string lights and fireworks, a floating pastel diorama and a paper workshop animated in stop‑motion.
